Most will agree that the success of a group is increased when its pioneers worked their best to build a strong foundation. For the DEE, we can somehow tell how well our pioneers perform – consistently producing excellent graduates who have more than a decade of outstanding performance in the national licensure exam and consistently producing graduates who have greatly contributed to the advancement in the field of electrical engineering.
Along with Assoc. Prof. Maximino Villanueva, the department welcomed the 21st century with 11 faculty members who are among either the first or the second batch of faculty members. As of February 2000, the faculty members include Assoc. Prof. Maximino Vilanueva, Asst. Prof. Eusebio Edvino, Asst. Prof. Jay Lincoln Lim, Engr. Paul Olegario, Engr. Michael John Vista, and Engr. Apollo Pablo Zantua. And in June 2000, five more faculty members were added in the department, among which included Engr. Elmer Inovejas, Engr. Orlando Lomboy, Engr. Manuel Alonzo, Ms. Haidee Rosete (the only Computer Engineer in the history of DEE), and Asst. Prof. Annie Liza C.
