UPLB DEE is Top Performing School in April 2022 REE Licensure Exam
DEE brings home another great honor in the recent Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination which was held on April 26-27, 2022. Despite the national passing percentage being a little over half of the examination takers, with a national passing rate of 54.41%, UPLB ranks first among five universities listed in the top performing schools, having a 96.23% passing rate. For a university to be qualified in this list, there should be a minimum of 50 takers with at least 85% of the takers successfully passing the licensure examination. The last time the department had more than 50 takers was in the April 2018 board exam where UPLB became the sole top performing school having a 100% passing rate.
Other than landing the topmost slot in the list of top performing schools, first in the list of topnotchers is Engr. Rob Christian M. Caduyac, a graduate of DEE, garnering a rating of 91.7%. Engr. Caduyac graduated in 2020 and is a current non-tenure track faculty member in the department. Another passer from DEE, Engr. Resborne P. Lomboy, grabbed the ninth place in the topnotchers’ list with a rating of 88.65%.
